2 Years

2 years ago today.....

I married the man of my dreams.

It was the most special day of my life (April 30, 2010), and one that I will cherish forever.

Marrying Jared has seriously been THE best decision I ever made.

(And I am the lucky one who got him. Still haven't quite figured out how or why?! But I'll take it!)

These last 2 years have been amazing, and I am glad I married my best friend & confidante. He 'gets' me, he understands my quirks, he loves me for who I am, and he is an awesome husband. We've been through a lot together, and it's brought us even closer--that is awesome, huh?

It's blessed our lives to have made eternal covenants together 2 years ago & to attend the temple on a regular basis now. We're still so in love--and enjoying that everlasting honeymoon I promised we'd be on :)

(Easter 2012)

2 years down, a million + an eternity to go.
And I couldn't be happier!

If this is only just the beginning, I am in for a real treat.

I love you, babe. Happy 2 Year Anniversary! <3

Date Nights April 2012

This month we've had some fun date nights/afternoons. Thanks to his not having a crazy schedule yet....We're trying to live up every moment we're not working, together.

Love this guy.

We watched a movie with angel food cake + strawberries.

Made waffles for a leisurely brunch.

Ate lettuce wraps with his parents.

Went to the dollar theatre to see the newest Sherlock Holmes movie. (It was pretty good!)

Ate TCBY frozen yogurt. SO good. (They had Greek yogurt flavors and salted caramel topping. I was in heaven.)

Went and saw the flowers on Temple Square (and went to the temple).

Drank chocolate milk together after I spontaneously ran the SLC 1/2 Marathon.

Went to the park and read and sunbathed (well, he laid in the shade....so him, not so much.) No pic for that.

Went to the temple with friends and walked around in the evening. We've been having gorgeous weather here lately! LOVE it.

I am one lucky gal. I love doing everything and anything with this guy!

Easter 2012

Easter was a few weeks ago, and it was wonderful! We spent part of it with my in-laws, and my husband's sister's family. Such fun!

Hope you all had a Happy Easter. We loved the time to reflect on the Savior and what He has done for us individually.

He is Risen--and oh, how glorious that is :)

My Incredible Brother

I felt like the luckiest lady around 1.5 weeks ago.....

I moved out to SLC to join my husband, and 1 day later my brother and mother came out so he could go to the Provo MTC to be a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Alpine, German Mission.

Because he's such a stud, and does so well in German already, he leaves the MTC to head to the mission headquarters (where MY mission headquarters were too!!) in a little over a week!

My husband and I were lucky enough to spend the morning with this amazing elder and my mom--we stuffed him with food, shopped around (see below, my mom trying to convince him of things he 'needed'), and spent the last few hours we could soaking up time with this amazing servant of the Lord.

I miss him! But I am SO proud of him.

I am a lucky older sis ;)

He was SO ready to go (we were reluctant to let him, but eventually we let go of his arms) :)

What an amazing man. Serving a mission is one of the best things I ever did, so I am stoked to hear his mission experiences in German (and possibly with the same people I served with in wards!)

Love you, Elder Bailey! <3

Vacay!! Ski Trip

Even though we've mostly moved, life is still a tad bit insane ;)

However, here is an update from March-when we spent a few days skiing with my family in the mountains of Utah!

It snowed while we were there, making for a few PERFECT powder days. Loved it.

Check out that car!!

The snow did derail some of our leave times for the resort (we were in a cabin 5-8 minutes away from Brighton), but it was still beautiful and perfect nonetheless.

Like I said, it snowed tons, so we bundled up!

I love spending time in the mountains with my amazing husband and awesome family. I feel SO lucky and blessed. Thank you dad for a great vacation!!

We ate lunch on the mountain every day--smart move! We packed up the essentials.....
Chocolate is ALWAYS an essential around here ;)

My sister and her cute nephew in our cabin. We always love eating dinner together at night and relaxing. SUCH fun memories!

Eggs, pancakes, and fruit to fuel up!

What a fabulous trip! Thanks again parentals, and siblings for making it awesome. ALL of us made it there for a few days, so that was perfection.

Heaven can be found on earth with these people around :)
