Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part 2

I am a sleep addict. I love sleep. 

But, when Harry Potter is around, sleep all of sudden does not matter much. 

Can you tell I am reaaaallllyyy sleepy? ;)

We went to the Midnight showing on Thursday night (aka Fri early morning). It was such a fun date with my fabulous husband!

We showed up in true HP fashion....all decked out.

It was a great movie. But oh so bittersweet for me. I adore the books, like the movies, and will miss the magical world of Harry Potter. A lot. (read: nerd alert)

I kinda want to go to Hogwarts....but let's keep that on the DL, shall we?? ;)

Nauvoo

We went and visited beautiful Nauvoo.

We saw my family perform in the pageant.

And oh how wonderful it all was!

I love that place.

I got to dance on the dance team so long ago.....and going again brought back sweet memories.

Oh Nauvoo, how I love thee. Thanks to hardcore pioneers who pushed through the pain, disappointment, and sadness and let their faith, hope, and love be their guide, we have beautiful Nauvoo.

Their legacy lives on in each of us. And especially in my sister, Sara. I have never seen a more excited pioneer! Her dream came true, and she danced, sang, and acted in the Pageant. 

My family were saints (literally) to suffer the heat, humidity, and thick costumes (I remember how horrifyingly hot it was for 2 straight weeks outside!). Props to them for doing it, and having a marvelous time! Thanks for sharing it with us!

Summer To Me

It is officially Summer now. 

And I love it.

Except it is sort of distracting.....

You'd be distracted (from work, responsibilities, etc.) too, wouldn't you?

Please someone tell me it is okay to spend SOME hours here every week???

In all honesty, part of my work is teaching kiddos swim lessons (don't ask, I have like 10 jobs now. Not kidding), so I get to spend at least an hour or so here every day.

I love swimming!

We are grateful to live in this great country, but we are also grateful that our ancestors come from all over the world as well. Life is a beautiful thing.

We are so blessed. And we want to thank our Heavenly Father for our blessings! Recently we have felt His outpouring, and we feel humbled and blessed :)
