Husband's Birthday Fun

My lovely husband had a birthday!!

I was out of town for it (I know, I know. What a horrible wife?!)

But in my defense, we did celebrate it like 3 different times before I left. :)

There was a family dinner in a park.

Complete with birthday sprays!

Ice cream cookie cake I made. And yes, the ice cream did begin to melt. But it still tasted awesome.

And the birthday man's gift from niece/nephews!

There was a dinner date with me another night:

Dinner at Cafe Rio was requested by the birthday man.

And I was HAPPY to oblige.

(We actually both have a serious love affair with that place.)

And other fun shenanigans that I never took pictures of.

Happy birthday to my amazing husband! He completes me so perfectly, and I am totally lucky to have him! Cheers for another amazing year ahead of us :)

Work Trip 2012

Last week I had the awesome opportunity to go to Cincinnati for a work conference.

It was definitely a busy few weeks leading up to the conference, as I got to prepare for presentations, fitness classes, and fishbowl discussions that I would be leading & participating in.

But it was worth it!! The conference was AMAZING.

3 days of motivating messages, awesome people, delicious food (tons of fruits & veg), great experiences, fun workouts, and great sessions.

Plus, I came back with a hundred new friends!

They even took us all on a riverboat cruise + dinner. WOW.

I work with some amazing women!

It was a great week!

Half IRONMAN Training Begins

Hey there! We've been nonexistent around here because:

a. We're both super busy at work
b. I've been busting out fitness classes all over the SLC/Sandy/Murray area

{dinner at Cafe Rio for our anniversary. My head is cut off--and that's a good thing. My hair was a greaseball after teaching Zumba. Sexy, yes?!}

c. I have a work conference to attend next week
d. I am speaking 4 different times at said work conference...... (AHH!)
e. I've been coaching my very own clients like mad (LOVE doing this) . And we're (our business is) finally in the positive. Wahoo!
f. I signed up for a Half IRONMAN

About that last one. Yeah, it's really happening. And I might be just a TAD scared.

Here's my I am half smiling but also scared face:

{semi scared mostly greasy hair face. Awesome.}

The Half IRONMAN is in August, so I have 3 months to train.

I am excited, yes. Like REALLY stoked! But this is going to test my limits in many ways. I kinda can't wait, really.....

I am a weirdo and I like doing hard things.

However,

"May the odds be EVER in my favor." Seriously.

2 Years

2 years ago today.....

I married the man of my dreams.

It was the most special day of my life (April 30, 2010), and one that I will cherish forever.

Marrying Jared has seriously been THE best decision I ever made.

(And I am the lucky one who got him. Still haven't quite figured out how or why?! But I'll take it!)

These last 2 years have been amazing, and I am glad I married my best friend & confidante. He 'gets' me, he understands my quirks, he loves me for who I am, and he is an awesome husband. We've been through a lot together, and it's brought us even closer--that is awesome, huh?

It's blessed our lives to have made eternal covenants together 2 years ago & to attend the temple on a regular basis now. We're still so in love--and enjoying that everlasting honeymoon I promised we'd be on :)

(Easter 2012)

2 years down, a million + an eternity to go.
And I couldn't be happier!

If this is only just the beginning, I am in for a real treat.

I love you, babe. Happy 2 Year Anniversary! <3

Date Nights April 2012

This month we've had some fun date nights/afternoons. Thanks to his not having a crazy schedule yet....We're trying to live up every moment we're not working, together.

Love this guy.

We watched a movie with angel food cake + strawberries.

Made waffles for a leisurely brunch.

Ate lettuce wraps with his parents.

Went to the dollar theatre to see the newest Sherlock Holmes movie. (It was pretty good!)

Ate TCBY frozen yogurt. SO good. (They had Greek yogurt flavors and salted caramel topping. I was in heaven.)

Went and saw the flowers on Temple Square (and went to the temple).

Drank chocolate milk together after I spontaneously ran the SLC 1/2 Marathon.

Went to the park and read and sunbathed (well, he laid in the shade....so him, not so much.) No pic for that.

Went to the temple with friends and walked around in the evening. We've been having gorgeous weather here lately! LOVE it.

I am one lucky gal. I love doing everything and anything with this guy!

Easter 2012

Easter was a few weeks ago, and it was wonderful! We spent part of it with my in-laws, and my husband's sister's family. Such fun!

Hope you all had a Happy Easter. We loved the time to reflect on the Savior and what He has done for us individually.

He is Risen--and oh, how glorious that is :)

My Incredible Brother

I felt like the luckiest lady around 1.5 weeks ago.....

I moved out to SLC to join my husband, and 1 day later my brother and mother came out so he could go to the Provo MTC to be a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Alpine, German Mission.

Because he's such a stud, and does so well in German already, he leaves the MTC to head to the mission headquarters (where MY mission headquarters were too!!) in a little over a week!

My husband and I were lucky enough to spend the morning with this amazing elder and my mom--we stuffed him with food, shopped around (see below, my mom trying to convince him of things he 'needed'), and spent the last few hours we could soaking up time with this amazing servant of the Lord.

I miss him! But I am SO proud of him.

I am a lucky older sis ;)

He was SO ready to go (we were reluctant to let him, but eventually we let go of his arms) :)

What an amazing man. Serving a mission is one of the best things I ever did, so I am stoked to hear his mission experiences in German (and possibly with the same people I served with in wards!)

Love you, Elder Bailey! <3
